Double Gold Win for Black Feather Whiskey at SF World Spirits Competition

Black Feather Whiskey, a Dyrdek Machine Portfolio company, wins the highly prestigious Double Gold award at the 2018 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. A top industry achievement and a rare win for small-batch bourbon aged under five years. Black Feather triumphed in a double-blind taste test judged by a distinguished panel.

CEO Jeremy Rawle talks the journey of Black Feather over the last five years: “From the beginning, we wanted Black Feather to be not just about cocktail culture, but a go-to bourbon for any occasion. Premium, but not precious.”

Black Feather has also kept up creatively, designing an app that brings the brand’s illustrated crow, Odin, to life.  By pointing a smartphone at a bottle of Black Feather, users meet and interact with the animated Odin. The app will be available for download in late May from Google Play and the Apple App Store.

Black Feather is currently available in Texas, Utah, Colorado and California, with plans to open in Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana and Florida soon, and later in Illinois and Canada. They’ll be pouring at festivals all summer too, their latest stop at SLUG Magazine’s Brewstillery, a local beer and spirits festival in Salt Lake City, Utah.
